Itinerary

  • Early International arrival. Private transfer Lima's airport/ to your hotel.

    ~ 11:30 am Lima city tour: Visit highlights of the city, including the Cathedral, Casa Aliaga, and Larco Museum.

    Museo Larco: This eighteenth-century vice regal mansion that houses more than 3,000 years of Peru's pre-Columbian history is the most important museum in the country. The museum boasts a supremely fine collection of gold and silver jewelry and worship paraphernalia that demonstrates the superb skill of ancient Peruvian gold and silversmiths.

    ~ 9:30 am Gastronomic experience by Urban Kitchen + exploring a local market

    Spend a morning with Chef Penelope! She will take us around the infamous Barranco, a quaint bohemian neighborhood in Lima. We will visit a typical Peruvian market and as we sip some Pisco Sours and prepare our own ceviche and other Peruvian trademark dishes, Penelope will masterfully guide us through certain aspects of Peruvian history that can be best, and maybe even only, explained through the country´s world-class gastronomy.

    After our great lunch, we will walk around Barranco neighborhood, which is an area called home by countless artists, photographers, and authors. We will walk along peculiar streets lined with Republican houses, admire the splendid views, and visit the Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs). Then, we will visit a couple or more of the art galleries and concept stores, tucked away on a typically unassuming Barranco Street, to learn more about our most recognized Peruvian plastic artists and the most relevant designers.

    Transfer to Sacred Valley:

    We will kick off the fun with a visit to a Llamas´s farm. Followed by lunch at local venue and an afternoon stop at the Inkariy museum.

    The Museo Inkariy, located on the main road half-way between Pisac and Urubamba will take us on a 10,000 year cultural journey through Peru in an afternoon! Learn about pre-colonial civilizations that pre date the Incas.

    ~Enjoy a traditional Pachamanca Lunch at Piuray lake

    Pachamanca means "earth oven," and translates to a big hole dug in the ground that cooks up an entire meal.

    Enjoy this traditional Peruvian dish of hot stone cooked meat and vegetables then enjoy a day at the lake.

    The Piuray lagoon is one of the most important water sources in all of Cusco. Take in the dreamy landscapes that surround the lagoon. In the distance you can see the snowy mountains Soray, Verónica and Salkantay.

    Or if you are feeling adventurous, you can get out there and kayak, stand up paddle, or cycle around the lake.

    Full day visit to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu

    ~ 08:00 am Take a ride on a comfortable train to the station at Aguas Calientes. The journey is packed full of spectacular vistas. On our arrival, we will take a bus that will drop us at the admission fee to the citadel of Machu Picchu itself. Unearthed for modernity by Hiram Bingham more than a century ago, Machu Picchu is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. Its architectural beauty, spectacular natural setting, and the energy that radiates from its enigmatic buildings will take your breath away.

    ~ 10:52 am Arrive in Aguas Calientes

    11:30 am Early lunch at Tunkuy restaurant

    ~ 02.00 pm Visit Machupicchu citadel

    ~ 10:55 am Train vistadome to Ollantaytambo train stations

    ~ 12:32 pm Arrive in the Ollantaytambo train station and be transferred to El Albergue hotel where you will enjoy a Delicious lunch.

    ~ 09:00 am Half day Cusco city tour: Cathedral, Qoricancha Inca Temple

    At the scheduled time, we will begin the exploration to the Imperial City, we will stroll through the Main Square, where we will discover the Cathedral and admire its exquisite vestibules and priceless paintings from the Cusco School of the 17th and 18th centuries. We will continue with a visit to one of the most impressive buildings of Incan Cusco: The Qoricancha (the Golden Temple) - a temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, whose interior walls were said to have been covered in gold.
